Report: SMF Counseling and Conversation 2009
On May 23rd, an event called SMF Counseling and Conversation 2009 took place on the fourth floor of ICC, sponsored by Sapporo Media Art Forum (SMF).
SMF helps nurture new talent in the media arts field through industry-academia-government cooperation. They have been active since 2005.
Welcoming its third year, the event has provided a valuable opportunity for students to show their work to professionals in their industry and to hear their opinions. About 40 students attended.
The fifteen creators viewing the work ranged from experienced creators like Giichi Ichikawa to the young Junya Kamada. It was over four hours of counseling, but every minute was used to its fullest.
